I Must See Thomas
He said, "I must see Thomas and show him these nail-scarred hands
And let him feel this scar in my side with his own hands"
Then Thomas cried out, "Lord, I believe
You're the one that was there and hung on an old rugged tree
You're the one that was there and hung on an old rugged tree
An old rugged tree
An old rugged tree
Later that morning as Jesus walked down the way
The angels were singing, the storm clouds had just moved away
The sun in their eyes, believers had something to say
With a broken seal, and grave clothes there on display
He said, "I must see Thomas and show him these nail-scarred hands
And let him feel this scar in my side with his own hands"
Then Thomas cried out, "Lord, I believe
You're the one that was there and hung on an old rugged tree"
It was early one morning before the break of dawn
The soldier was sleeping, the angels rolled back the stone
When Jesus awoke, they said it's time to go home
Your Father is there and He's waiting for You at the throne
